Amplifybio is a newly established, commercially focused preclinical CRO that was created as a Battelle spin-off. Amplifybio is currently looking for an IT Systems Engineer to join our growing team!!!!

The IT Systems Engineer will serve as a specialist in the design, implementation, and administration of Amplifybio’s secure IT infrastructure and services, as well as provide technical support for the daily operational activities of the IT department.

The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading efforts setting up various endpoints that includes Desktops, Laptops, devices in GxP Labs and manufacturing environment.

As a lead engineer in this role, you will be actively participating and providing oversight, deployment of all endpoints and network setup. You will be working closely with stakeholders and vendors throughout the end point systems lifecycle and user account management lifecycle (i.e., plan, implement, run & operate, and retire) at Amplifybio.

Amplifybio is rapidly expanding its service offerings related to the discovery, translation, and development of advanced therapies such as gene and cell therapies. As part of the team, the right candidate will help support the company’s growing portfolio of service offerings and commercial capabilities. What You’ll Do Here:

  • Provide technical support to users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstation and LAN performance
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, and in-office
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Walk the non-technical customer through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Monitor/maintain/support health of all end points, service desk support
  • Manage and maintain Windows Operating Systems & Roles
  • Manage and maintain Security tools: Antivirus, Email Security, Endpoint Detection & Response, Vulnerability scanning/management, Microsoft 365 partner center, Conditional Access, VPN, Firewall/IPS/IDS, Password Management, SSO/MFA/PAM(PIM)
  • O365 administration experience is a plus
  • Manage and maintain Azure AD configuration
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; MS 365, basic knowledge of scripting, automation, Cert chain and CA certificate.
  • Knowledge of ITIL change management process.
  • Understand and document current state process and drive improvements including technology implementations required to automate/support process improvement.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders (business, quality assurance, internal/managed IT services teams, vendors etc.)

We Would Love to Hear from You If:

  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
  • Experience with system installation and support in a regulated laboratory environment
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux and MacOS and operating systems troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of WAN, LAN, and basics of networking (TCP/IP, MAC, VLAN, VPN, DHCP, FIREWALL, NAT, IPS, IDS, QoS)
  • Understanding of best practice data administration and management processes.
  • Understanding of best practice business continuity & disaster recovery management
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Proven ability to handle multiple and changing priorities.
  • Experience in authoring technical documents
  • BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field
