Mark Perry, Ph.D. Director of Business Development

Mark Perry, Ph.D., led sales and business development in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries and was named Battelle commercial sales representative of the year in 2019, having doubled business volume, and became a Battelle distinguished inventor in 2021.

Previously he led the technology transfer of a Battelle portfolio of bio-based products to a new company, Versa Renewables, and led product improvements for a neurotechnology program, NeuroLife™. Dr. Perry also led the Advanced Materials Applications department, 30 scientists, engineers and technicians. He has experience building, motivating and leading teams with diverse skills, defining and executing business development plans, identifying and capturing new customers and delivering expert results to his clients.

Before joining Battelle, he has worked for Fortune 500 companies and start-up ventures, creating proprietary, trade secret and patented technologies.
